Influenster Contest Haul: Hawaiian Tropic

Remember when I posted about two Influenster Sally Hansen Contests that I won? Well I also won a Hawaiian Tropic contest too! And here is my ultra sweet Hawaiian Tropic swag that I got! I am obsessed with the Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Sunscreen Lotion (review HERE, empties HERE, and HERE) and am stoked that I got another bottle of it! I am excited to try out the lip gloss because I didn't even know that Hawaiian Tropic made any, and this color looks like a nice neutral red that would look good on everyone!

What do you guys think of the haul? Opinions of Influenster? Have any of you won any contests recently? Comment below and let me know!

The New Influenster?! <3

You guys probably remember me mentioning Influenster in the past (like HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE). I love their program, and I love product placement (and I love free stuff! ;) ). Well recently they revamped their website to make it even more of a social platform, not just a sampling program (can we say, woo hoo cutting edge!). I like this change because I always felt that Influenster is destined for success and by taking this more social media centered approach, I think the Influenster Brand will be much more influential itself when it comes to working with brands which means better freebies for people like us, but also better feedback and info to the brands that Influenster work with! Win win!

Also, as a prior member I have 5 invites that I can give out so you can jump the waitlist line. I would love to give them out to subscribers if any of you are interested. Comment bellow and let me know! I think I'd just need your email address to send the invite.

Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color

So one of the things I got in my Summer Beauty VoxBox through Influenster was the Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color in Red-y Response. I have never tried a "magnetic" polish before, but I am here to report that it is actually really easy! It is as simple as holding the magnet thing over your nail during your 2nd coat of polish!

What do you guys think of the pattern, or idea of magnetic polishes? I am kind of interested in trying out a magnet that is chevron shaped, though I am not sure if Sally Hansen has a chevron one yet. I would love to see a black & white magnetic polish too! Maybe a polka dot pattern magnet? There are so many possible options!

What do you think? Comment below :)

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration, my love! You are back in my life and people are learning about your greatness! If you remember, I had a bottle of the Spf 12 in December when I was down in Florida, which was where I first discovered this product, and like I predicted in my empties post about the product, the product is new for sale this summer up here in the mid-east! I was lucky enough to snag this mini bottle through Inflenster, but I also have a new full size spf 12, as well as the dry oil spray, and face block stick from Hawaiian Tropic (can you tell I love the brand? haha).

Like I noted in December, this suntan lotion is amazing. It really does moisturize for 12 hours, and it gives me all the spf protection I need while still being able to get some tanning color (at least with the spf 12, with the spf 30, I tan less). It also has that AMAZING Hawaiian Tropic smell which I just love for the summer and when at the beach!

Keep an eye out for sales on this product because I was able to get the full size spf 12, and the dry oil spray on a BOGOFree deal, coupled with a $1 off Hawaiian Tropic coupon! And if you are really creative, you could also pair the deal with a percentage off coupon (like how CVS does 20% or 30% coupons every now and then), if you time it right!

Any one else in love with this sunscreen? Comment below! :)

CLEAR SCALP & HAIR BEAUTY THERAPY(tm) Review

Hey readers! Have you tried this new shampoo & conditioner line yet? I've used 2 travel sized sets now, and I figured I should just make a separate post about it! I initially tried it out in May/June after I bought it in CVS because they had a stand set up with it, and I hadn't heard of it before then. After reading the bottles and the information of the stand, it sounded like my kind of product, so I figured why not try it? (especially when the travel sizes like this aren't that expensive, and neither is the full sized price which is $4.99-$5.99 a bottle, depending on where you buy it!). I wrote about my first experience with the product in a past empties post and after the first round I liked it. Heidi Klum is one of their spokes people, it doesn't smell terrible, and I makes my hair feel clean without feeling striped! After the second round (when I got a set through Influenster) I learned that I loved it. I love the clean feeling, and that the shampoo is moisturizing without loosing that clean feeling! It was that quality that made me learn I loved it because the shampoos that I was using between the two sets I used of this had not been doing that. They were too moisturizing in the sense that my hair always felt a little grimy and not truly clean after two washes with shampoo! But with Clean, it feel clean and soft even after the first wash! I also love that the conditioner doesn't weigh my hair down, like other conditioners can do. Even without using a leave in hair product, my hair loves this line! I checked out their website and saw that they have other versions of this shampoo, not just the "Total Care" kind. I am really considering buying on of the other kinds to see how it compares after I get through my other shampoo & conditioner that I am currently using.

What about you guys? Have you used this line yet? Do you love it? Hate it? Have an opinion about another set in the line? Comment below!

Let's play I Spy! Comment below if you recognize some products that I already have tried before receiving this VoxBox! 2 Subscribe-y points if you can guess the one I have loved since December! :)

Review: Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips

You've seen 'em, now I've tried 'em, and I understand the hype now! It's the Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish strips!

Disclaimer: Anyone who knows me in real life, and maybe you have picked up on it on this blog, knows that I love free stuff. If there is a coupon, deal, or system for sampling free things, I am THERE. However, know that I would never change my opinion of something just because it was free.
**The Sally Hansen Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips seen here were given to my for free through Influenster**

The Verdict: While at first I wasn't too thrilled that I was sent this crazy zebra pattern, it has grown on me the past few days. I found that applying them was surprisingly easy, and maybe easier than the other nail polish strip brand I have used in the past, because the polish strips are quite thin, and are easy to make smooth. I can definitely tell that these are real nail polish rather than just stickers, because once they are laid on and dry, you can hardly tell the difference at all! Also, it was during application that I decided the crazy pattern wasn't so bad on my toes because its kind like have crazy socks, or underwear: no one else can really see it unless you want them too, and its like a secret little pick me up for yourself :) The wear on these is also great actually. I have been wearing flats without socks or anything, which normally has a tendency to cause my nail polish to chip or rub off in certain areas, but with this polish, I haven't had that problem.

Will I buy another set? Yes! I am dying to try out a solid color on my fingers now! I hope that they wear just as long and great on my crazy chipped peel-y finger nails because I have the hardest time keeping polish on the flaky tips of my nails. *Crosses fingers that this will be an awesome exception*

Also, if you were creative, and really loving a pattern, you could probably figure out a way to make each set last for 2 manicures instead of just one because some of the strips could really be cut in half! I wasn't worried about that with this set because I wasn't wild about the pattern and knew I would probably only tolerate wearing it once. But if I find these working well on my fingers... I'll definitely have to do another review about tips for making the set last longer if I can achieve it!

So what about you guys? Think the zebra is crazy too? Have you guys tried these strips yet? Have any color or pattern suggestions for me? Comment below! Better yet, leave me a link to your blog post about it! I'd love to read it :)
