4/20 in a Target Soap
I have been trying to figure out the best way to review this item: Method In Season Daffodil Bouquet Liquid Soap. An then it dawned on me that 4/20 is the most appropriate way to debut my review, haha. Why? Because my review is this: It has an after smell that 1/4 of the time, I swear, smells like pot/marijuana/weed/whatever your favorite work for it is! The other 3/4 of the time it smells like a mixture of daffodils, honeysuckle, grass, and dirt, which sounds weird, but I just LOVE that because it smells just like my memories of my backyards as a kid. Even the 1/4 of the time pot smell doesn't super bother me because it doesn't hang around too long, but it only annoys me in the sense that I love it's regular smell and what memories it evokes for me! Now this is a limited edition spring scent, so I'm not sure it will be around when I am in the market to buy more soap, but even with the pot head aspect, I am pretty sure I would still buy it again. If I do buy it again I think I will buy the foam version to see if that one doesn't have the same 1/4 issue, haha.
Have you ever had a product with a similar after smell? Haha. Anyone actually want to buy this product BECAUSE of this after smell? I don't judge :P Comment below, let me know! Haha

Simple Skincare Overview Review
Ever since I discovered UglyFaceofBeauty on youtube, I had been dying to try out the Simple skin care brand and lamented that it wasn't in the US. Until the day that I learned that it would be coming to the US! It was like a dream come true because I didn't even have to wait and lament that long! Thank you skin care gods for answering my beauty prayer :) Given by anticipation I kind of have the urge to try EVERYTHING haha, but I am restraining myself to take it in steps. Here is my first step and chunk of products that I have tried (when I try a couple more, like maybe a cleanser and the makeup remover or toner, I will do another post like this) and what I think of them.
I am in love! The texture of these are different than any other wipe that I have used because this isn't soft, its rough and textured. Some people might not like this because it could feel a little too rough on your skin but I love it because I feel like it truly does get all the makeup and oil off my face without leaving a residue feeling behind! I also love the smell! Will I buy these again? It is highly likely! I may be swayed to try something new just to try something new, but I know I will be returning to these!
Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes (not pictured)
I tried these before the Exfoliating ones when I first saw that the Simple line came out (when I finished these up I then bought the Exfoliating ones). I talked about this product in a previous post when I finished it so you can go there for a more in depth review. In short I liked then, didn't love them, but would buy them again if I felt the need to have make up wipes regularly in my routine.
Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer
This was the product that UglyFaceofBeauty kept raving about and what got me interested so of course I had to get this first! I can see why she likes it. It is kind of everything I want my Garnier light moisturizer to be (but the poor garnier moisturizer just never seems to live up to my expectations). I love the texture, it is definitely light, which I love, but it doesn't leave you wanting more so it's not too light. It doesn't sting, which my Garnier has been known to do. And it moisturizes at the level that I wanted it to, no greasy mess, and no dry patches in the morning. Will I buy it again when I run out? I am not 100% sure because the thing is huge and it might be quite some time until that happens and I might change my mind. I would be interested in trying another of their moisturizers though, like perhaps one that comes in the pot. Would love to see how Simple does in the heavy moisturizer category.
Simple Soothing Eye Balm
Finally, a eye cream that doesn't sting my eyes! After having a short relationship with a Say Yes to Cucumbers eye cream that I ended up returning because it stung my eyes like crazy and was roll-y the next day when I would put on foundation, this Simple Eye Balm is like a god send in comparison! I hope this isn't like a rebound-like love, but even if it is, I value what this Balm is doing for me. It has let me foray in to the eye cream word which I have been interested in entering but kept getting scared away by the products I had tried and hated in the past. Thank you Simple for making a product to get me started on my eye cream journey! Like the moisturizer, I think this will take quite some time to use up so I can't say if I will buy it again. I might, but I also might not because I might try something targeted at anti-aging after this. But if I have more troubles with other eye creams stinging and not cooperating, then I know that Simple's Eye Balm will be here for me to sooth my eyes and tell me eye creams are ok! (Sounds like the gay best friend of eye creams doesn't it? haha :P)
Also, semi related... I have realized that I have a thing for green themed skin care. I don't know if it is a subconscious thing that I think green skin care products will work better or I just like the look of it or what but between this, my Garnier moisturizer, my green clay mask, and my cucumber peel off mask, my whole cabnet is green! Haha. Does anyone else a similar tendency? Maybe one for blue colored stuff (that seems to be another popular skin care package color to me)?
So who else has tried out Simple? What did you think? What should I try next?

Review: Beauty Blender
HOW: I received this a little while back in my February Birchbox and have been playing around with it ever since.
WHY: I had always heard about this in the blog/vlog-osphere but always was skeptical about how good it really was because it IS a sponge, which just always seems so low-tech to me, but guru's that love brushes also loved this, so when i received it I was pretty happy to try it out. Now, the price always scared me away, $19.50 for ONE FREAKIN' SPONGE! Which I think is insane, but because I got this for free/ for $10 I'm not complaining.
PROS: I have been using this with my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation that I bought this summer and loved then but kinda stopped using it once fall came around. I had been previously been applying that foundation with my fingers after I decided I didn't like the look a brush gave. I have to say, I love the finish the Beauty Blender gives it. It makes the application really even and at the sheer/medium level I strive for but don't always achieve when applied with fingers.
CONS: The price, the price, the price. Plus, it is really annoying to clean. I don't have the cleaner that they sell and I refuse to buy a cleaner just to clean one implement, haha. I tried using my brush cleanser, various face washes, and different liquids soaps that I currently have and none of them could get the foundation out, which is annoying. Also, in the cleaning process I seemed to have faded the cute pink color some as well as create or reveal some damage/wear to the sponge. I read some where that the sponge lasts/should be used for 3 months, and from what I have experienced that it probably how long it will last me.
CONCLUSION: I don't think I will ever buy this simply because of the price compared to how long it lasts, as well as the annoying-ness of cleaning it. I do like how it applies foundation though so would welcome any more free ones with open arms, haha. I wouldn't be adverse to trying out one of the cheaper drug store "dupes" of this, especially if those are easier to clean!
Have any of you tried to Beauty Blender? Or one of the drug store versions? What did you think?

(This value does not reflect the currently crossed off items, those in Bold&Green, or those in purple)
Key: Green means it was added after this was initially published and reflects the MSRP/actual value.
Purple means that it was added after this was initially published and the pricing is based on what I actually paid and includes coupon, and sale considerations.
Dang it! It is higher than my first calculation! I was hoping it would be lower with all my purged products. This is a good wake up call though! Part of it is due to getting some items through Birchbox and MyGlam (when I was signed up for 2 months before it got lame), but it is also due to that hair care haul, as well remembering some items that I had when I first calculated but forgot to include, and also probably because I may have replaced some used up items with more expensive products, oops! 2012 Resolution, we still have $208.15 to get under 1K! (But ideally I'd love to be under $800) Can we do it? Yes we can!
What is your makeup worth? Comment below! :)

Where have all the Birchbox posts gone?
Hey guys, some of you may be wondering why I don't do Birchbox posts any more (when I first signed up I used to post a picture and list and reviews for each item that I got each month). Well, I'll be lame and admit that I am busy with school. But, do not fret! I will be graduating this year, and after I sit for the Bar exam in July, there is a good chance that they could be coming back!
Also, keep an eye our for a Birchbox store haul soon because my reward points are building up rapidly and I think I might make a purchase soon. Eek, so excited! I am thinking Stila Cloud eyeshadow? But what else....?! Any suggestions for what to get? Comment below and let me know!

I Love... Haul
So maybe one item doesn't count as haul when it is one gift set, but if you think of it as 6 things this is kind of a haul! Haha. Either way I wanted to share this purchase for you. I was in the market for a bubble bath because I didn't have any on hand (a tragedy I know!). I heard about this product coming to the US from the UK via Nouveau Cheap but didn't think I would find it for quite some time. And then I just stumbled upon it the other day when shopping for other things.
Haven't used them yet, but I smelled all the scents and they are just DIVINE! I can't wait to use the Lemon & Lime one because it smells just like Lemon Lime Gatorade powder, haha. :P
Have any of you guys tried this line out? Have any fav scents? How are the non-bubble bath products in the line? I saw online that they make a hand cream... I would love to try that next! However, the only thing I saw for sale at Rite Aid where I got this was just this set, none of the other separate products.

$250 Pan is complete!
I don't know if you guys have been following the updates to my older $250 Pan post and noticed that I completed it a few weeks go, so I thought I'd make a formal announcement of it...
I DID ITTTTT I FINISHED A PAN PROJECT!!!! WOOO HOO PARTYYYYYY!!!!
Ok, it's out of my system :) I am just so proud of myself because it was a goal that I could really see my progress towards, unlike classic Project Pans which feel like you never are making progress in... kinda like my Kill It Quest... haha.
What did I learn? That I should take into account the price of something when buying something because sometimes a price isn't worth the time it takes to use up (whether it is gone too fast, or it lasts forever and you get bored and never want to use it so it was a waste because you probably would have done better to just not buy it).
Now that this is over and I got a good chunk of old products out of my stash, look forward to an updated Stance Insurance Policy post to reflect the value of my current stash with all of these old products removed and with the list of all the other products that I have added to replace them! (As well as some extra products that maybe I didn't need... oops :) )
Have any of you ever done a money style Pan project? Did you succeed?
